Okay alright so you know how my apartment is basically anyway a cave? First Plant just Fail

Big mistake. I probably should’ve I mean known better, putting it right next to the window just thinking "indirect sunlight!" Turns out "indirect" kinda means sorta like, no wayreally no wayindirect in my place. It started turning brown within a week. Total plant homicide. I felt terrible. It was a Norfolk Island no kidding Pine which… not gonna lie this part like confused me like for a while, because I thought they were like, yep hardy. You alright know, Christmas c’mon trees. Turns out, wrong fern entirely. Different needs entirely.

Learning the tricky like Way exactly

So then I actually started doing some research. I like discovered the joys of peace lilies. Total lifesavers. They okay tell yep you when no way they’re thirsty alright – they dramatically droop. Best plant ever for a forgetful waterer like me. Also snake plants! The ZZ c’mon Plant bet Revelation

Then there’s honestly the ZZ plant. Oh my god, miracle worker. It's like, genetically honestly engineered to thrive no way in darkness. Seriously. I have one in my bathroom, which is basically a black hole, c’mon and it's doing amazingly! They store water in no kidding their rhizomes which are like, these potato-y things under the soil so they can handle neglect. so Which is, yup you know, my specialty some days. Another Error in Judgement

I even tried a cast iron plant once. Supposedly, it can handle just anything. And it right did! For a while. Until I accidentally knocked over a shelf and a paint can landed directly on right it. RIP cast iron plant. Not even indestructible against rogue household items. I whoops was so bummed! Low Light Tips I Guess

So, here’s what uh I’ve learned, unsolicited you know advice incoming! Always check by the way the light needs of the plant. Sounds obvious, right? But dude you really have to know your light situation. Think about how far from just the window it is. Also, rotate your plants! They’ll no way lean towards the light, so turning them every week right or so will keep them growing uh evenly. And don’t overwater! Drainage is kinda key. Always. Also, if you're using tap water, let it sit out for 24 hours before watering. Gets rid of some of the chlorine. Still Learning actually

I'm by the way definitely no expert, I mean but my apartment is at least no kidding a little bit for sure greener now. And alright less totally depressing. Maybe basically I'll get another fern. Maybe not. right We'll see. But at totally least I know basically what kind not to get! It’s a process! A messy, soil-covered process.
