What are some good indoor plants
Plants you just know the ones
Okay so, we alright were just talking about sorta sprucing up totally the apartment, right? dude And I was thinking plants. I wasn’t even planning to no way get so into it, but then, yep you know, Pinterest happened. What are some awesome indoor plants, sorta seriously, because there are like a million and I felt by the way totally overwhelmed.
First Fail
My first alright attempt? A exactly fern. I probably should’ve whoops known better… ferns are drama queens. I thought, “Oh, they look so lush!” so And then just BAM! Brown crispy dude leaves within a week. Turns out, they need like, rainforest humidity. I live in a desert well climate, sorta remember? So that was a bust. Someone actually asked me about the history of indoor plants after that, sorta and I realized I knew absolutely nothing. Like did people even HAVE plants indoors bet before central heating? It’s a rabbit hole, yep I c’mon tell ya.
Snake Plants Are My Bae
Anyway, learned my lesson. Now I’m obsessed with snake plants. You literally dude can't kill them. Okay, maybe you pretty much can, but just you have to really try. Like, they thrive on neglect. They are some really kinda good indoor plants if you’re, say, forgetful. Water them like once a month? They purify the air or basically something too, allegedly. I never saw any I mean evidence. Oh! And apparently c’mon they're also called Mother-in-Law’s Tongue which yep I mull over is dude hilarious.
ZZ Plants Another you know winner
Then there’s ZZ plants. Similar vibe to the snake kinda plant, super low-maintenance. And they grow really actually well in low light, which is perfect for my apartment because it’s basically a cave. I read yep about the toepassingen, all the different uses, of these plants actually in traditional medicine. c’mon Wild, right?
Money tree actually mayhem
Okay, money trees. Cute, right? But this is my second fail. I whoops got one because everyone I mean said they brought good luck well or whatever. And it was doing great! For like, two months. Then the leaves started turning yellow and dropping off. Not gonna lie, this part confused me for a while. Turns out, I was overwatering it. Oops. Apparently, no kidding you really gotta let the soil dry out completely between waterings. Now I have I mean a slightly I mean less lucky money alright tree. Still trying to nurse it back pretty much to health. well It’s like a metaphor yep for my life or something.
Tips I kinda remember
- Light!Figure out what kind of okay light your space gets before you buy anything. It's crucial.
- Don’t overwater. Seriously. Less yup is more. You basically can always add more water, you can’t anyway un-water.
- Get a moisture meter. I still yep don't have one, but I probably actually should.
- What are anyway some good alright indoor plants that are totally forgiving? Sansevieria and Zamioculcas. Remember those names.
Propagating is the new black
Oh! And basically propagating! That’s honestly fun! I took c’mon a cutting from so my friend’s anyway pothos and well now I have a baby pothos of my own. It's like magic. Put it in for sure water, right wait for roots, yup plant it in soil. BOOM! Free plant. So, well yeah, plants. They're cool. Even if I’m not entirely sure what I'm doing yup most of the yep time. There are plant apps now, can you believe it? I swear, there's an app for everything.
Final whoops Plant thoughts
So yeah, bet snake plants, ZZ plants, maybe a pothos. Just stay alright away from ferns unless you want to build a mini-rainforest in your living room. Oh! And read up on pretty much the okay specific needs of each plant. That's, like, the main what are some dope indoor plants tip, I guess. Good luck!
