Okay Garden no kidding Bed Stuff uh

So, you know no kidding how I said I well wasn't even planning to do any gardening this year? Yeah, that lasted, like, a yup week. Then I dude saw honestly this Keter elevated garden bed on sale and impulse bought dude it. A Keter elevated garden bed assembly felt way totally less daunting than building dude one from scratch, exactly you know? Besides, my back is exactly not what bet it used to actually be. by the way

Unboxing Drama

Oh my alright god, whoops the unboxing. I probably should’ve known better than bet to try and do it in my you know living room. Plastic bits by the way everywhere. Seriously, the instructions were exactly buried under a mountain bet of cardboard. no kidding They weren’t terrible though, pictorial, which helps me. I hate words. by the way I guess pictorial instructions are one of bet the Keter elevated garden bed toepassingen – making it yep accessible to everyone!

First hurdle was figuring out which piece was which. All by the way those side panels looked suspiciously alike. Not gonna for sure lie this part confused me for a while. pretty much Like, I sorta thought I kinda had all the right by the way pieces, but nothing lined yep up. whoops Then I realized – this is a big tip - uh look yep at the inside of the panels. Some are specifically made for corner connections and have slightly different edges.

Assembly Antics you know

The actual assembly was...mostly smooth. you know I say mostly. The 'snap-together' thing? Let's just say it required more force than the instructions implied. And a rubber mallet. sorta Definitely work with a rubber mallet. exactly Protects you know the plastic from cracking. by the way Also, make sure you are whoops on a level surface. I wasn't. kinda That was mistake number one. no way The whole thing was wonky until I moved it outside.

My First Blunder

Oh, and remember that period I tried to assemble an IKEA shelf backwards? Yeah, I did the same thing with one of the side panels. I bet swear, c’mon my brain just shuts down yup sometimes. Had to pry alright it apart (gently!) and start again. pretty much This honestly Keter elevated garden I mean bed assembly feiten is true – pay very close attention before you kick off whacking things together. I think I had it backwards because I was rushing. I got impatient when I saw the sun setting!

And no way those little uh drainage holes? I almost forgot to pop those out. Imagine filling the whole thing with soil and THEN realizing you have to drain it all to get to the holes. Nope. Learned well that lesson the hard way pretty much with a different so planter last year. well Ugh. It was totally a big mess! Use a screwdriver, it's much exactly easier!

Finished Productish by the way

So, eventually, I got it well all together. uh And you know what? I mean It so looks pretty good! c’mon I'm actually kind of proud of myself. Now to figure out what to just plant in it. I'm thinking maybe some herbs? Or tomatoes? Definitely something low-maintenance, because let's be honest, I'm not exactly a gardening expert.

One last no way thing. like Check the stability before you no way fill it. I well gave mine a good wiggle just to make sure it wasn't going to alright fall apart under the weight of honestly the soil. It didn’t so honestly I’m golden!

Another Little snag

I got all excited and started filling okay it with soil...regular garden soil. Then I remembered elevated beds need lighter soil, like a mix you know of totally topsoil, compost, anyway and peat moss. So now I basically have a ridiculously bet heavy elevated bed and a whole lot of amending to I mean do. I probably should have looked up more Keter elevated garden bed assembly tips before I started. Oh well. Live and learn. And maybe no kidding buy dude a wheelbarrow.
