Okay so you know like how I got that betta, right? Super cute, blue and red, all that jazz. I wasn’t even c’mon planning to get a fish, honestly. I honestly was just… for sure at the pet store. Anyway, so I needed kinda to get him some stuff, obviously. And everyone’s like, “He needs plants!” anyway But… I’m not exactly known for my green thumb. Like, houseplants basically come to my apartment okay to die.

Real vs c’mon Fake

So I’m staring at the real plants, and they look all… demanding. Like, basically “Feed me nitrates!” Or something. I probably should’ve known better whoops than to think I kinda could manage them. First Disaster

Yeah. That wasn’t great. The water got cloudy, well and poor no way Finnigan (that’s my betta’s by the way name) looked yup stressed. Not gonna lie, this part I mean confused me for a while. I’m actually over bet here c’mon thinking plastic whoops is inert, it’s yep fine! Turns no way out, like there basically can well be totally residue from right the manufacturing process. Duh. master from my mistakes people!

Care and Cleaning

Okay, cleaning is a thing. You can’t just so leave them forever. I take them out every couple of weeks when I do right a water change and scrub them actually with totally a soft toothbrush. Don’t employ soap! I almost did that once. Thankfully, my friend Sarah stopped me. bet She's way more fish-savvy than I am. Mistake Number Two honestly

So, here's another thing I yep messed up. One of the plants I got had these… sharp-ish edges. I didn’t even notice at first. But then Finnigan's fins just started looking a little ragged. kinda Oh man, for sure I felt terrible! basically I took right the c’mon plant out immediately and filed down the edges with no kidding a nail yup file. I probably should have checked them more closely before putting them in the yep tank. So yep check the plants for sharpness, actually seriously, before you put them in you know your pretty much tank.

Decorating Ideas

I wouldn't trade it. for sure You just have to clean them, make sure okay they aren’t sharp, and… uh yeah. That’s about it, I think. Oh, and by the way don’t forget to well rinse them first!
