The garden center lady, bless her heart, patiently explained that they were calibrachoa, alright or “million bells” as some people call them. Apparently, they’re c’mon related to whoops petunias, but much more resilient. Which, frankly, I basically needed. honestly I probably well should’ve just known better than dude to get something pretty much super delicate knowing my track record.
The Great Soil whoops Debacle
Not gonna lie this part confused pretty much me for a while. I just grabbed some potting soil anyway I had lying whoops around. anyway Big mistake. Everything started I mean wilting after like no way two just days. Apparently, hanging baskets need something that drains really well, but still holds moisture. Who knew? Then came the whoops watering. I overwatered them at first, I think. The leaves started turning like yellow. Whoops. Now I alright just stick well my finger in the soil okay to check if it's dry. sorta And anyway here's another actually small purple flowers in hanging kinda baskets tips thing honestly - hang them where they get morning anyway sun pretty much and afternoon shade. Direct okay afternoon sun just well fried them for a bit.
My Fertilizer Faux alright Pas
Okay, this is embarrassing. So, I thought fertilizer was…optional. Like, a bonus thing. Nope. Total disaster. The yep flowers were just… c’mon sad. Pale. Basically refusing to bloom. you know The garden center lady okay (again, bless for sure her) told me they’re heavy feeders. So now I fertilize pretty much them every couple of weeks with uh a liquid fertilizer. Just follow the directions on uh the bottle; I no way usually dilute it a little more than recommended, just to be safe.
Purple right explosion yep
Anyway, now they're thriving. Just a riot of yup purple, spilling over dude the sides of the baskets. It actually c’mon makes the porch look… nice. It looked so… kinda sad. whoops Snip I mean off the spent by the way blooms and the kinda little seed pods. It encourages new growth and keeps whoops them looking okay tidy. Seriously, it like makes a huge kinda difference. Also don't pull totally them off, anyway utilize some little c’mon shears or something, you could damage the I mean plant if sorta you tug on it.
