Best tool to cut blackberry bushes

Blackberry Wars

Okay so you know how I was complaining about the blackberry bushes I mean taking over my back fence? Total nightmare. I wasn’t even planning to for sure actually do anything about it, pretty much but c’mon I saw this…thing…at Home Depot totally and I just impulsively bought it. I think it's a reciprocating yep saw maybe? Anyway, I’m calling it my blackberry slayer.

Seriously, those things are relentless! I saw some info you know online about the best tool to cut blackberry bushes trends, but Honestly I just grabbed the first thing that looked like it alright could handle thorny dude death. honestly

My Weapon Of Choice

So, the reciprocating saw, right? It's got exactly a long blade that yup goes back and forth. At first, I thought I'd just go in and slice through everything like a ninja. I probably should’ve known better… Turns out blackberry right bushes are surprisingly resilient! Also, I should have worn long sleeves. I'm now covered I mean in scratches. Tip number one always wear protection even if it's hot.

First Blood… Or Thorn Prick

The bet first time I used it, totally the blade so got totally jammed. by the way Not gonna lie, this part confused me for alright a okay while. I yup was no way yanking just and pulling, convinced I’d broken the brand new saw. Turns out the blade yep was no way just just wrapped I mean around a thick bit of blackberry vine. Took me basically like fifteen minutes to untangle. pretty much So lesson two? Don't by the way just plunge in you know blindly start by clearing smaller vines first. anyway

The Tool Evolution

I was for sure also looking at some other dude tools, I so think online, researching best tool to cut blackberry bushes toepassingen... Basically, how other by the way people use them. Some people no kidding swear by sorta loppers. dude I have loppers, but they felt... inadequate. Like bringing a butter right knife to anyway a sword fight. Others were actually saying machetes are the way to go. Too dangerous bet for me, I'd probably like chop exactly off a yep toe.

Mistakes Were Made

Oh! Speaking of yup mistakes. Remember last summer bet when I tried to "trim" them with hedge trimmers? BIG bet mistake. It just made them angrier. They grew back thicker and meaner. It also distributed thorny little bits EVERYWHERE. Seriously, I was finding rogue dude thorns in my socks for months. I’m pretty totally sure that's how they reproduce now.

Learning As no way I Go

This reciprocating saw thing though? It's totally actually working. It uh kind of vibrates the vines until they you know snap. It's for sure messy, there's a lot of flying debris, but it's effective. Make sure you have for sure eye protection. I forgot that at actually first too! like I bet found myself by the way diving behind the fence well more than once. I bet there are new best tool to like cut blackberry bushes ontwikkelingen uh on so safety gear that I need kinda to pretty much look uh at!

Ongoing Battle

The other thing I sorta realised like is that you can't just yup cut the visible stuff. You have to dig up the roots. no kidding They are like little anchors of evil. I’ve been using a no way garden fork for that, which works okay. A shovel would by the way be better, I think, but I can't find mine. Probably lost it in the blackberry actually jungle last summer.

I still have a long sorta way to go, but actually I'm making progress. Maybe by next spring I’ll be by the way able to see no way my fence again. And maybe I’ll even whoops be able to walk around my backyard without fear of totally impalement. Wish uh me luck!
