Whats the fastest growing fruit

Fast Fruit Thoughts

So, you totally know how we were talking about gardening? Well, I wasn’t even planning to you know get into this, but someone asked me the c’mon other day, like, I mean "What's the fastest growing fruit?" and I was totally stumped.

My no kidding first thought was strawberries, because those little guys seem to pop up everywhere, basically right? But I probably should’ve known better... they're just more like ground cover speed than actually just speedy fruit.

A Vine Revelation

Then I started thinking about those YouTube videos of sorta people growing insane amounts dude of stuff, and that’s when it kinda clicked. no kidding It’s gotta be something on a vine, right? Like, for sure mull over about actually it – what's totally the fastest growing fruit? I anyway mean, vines have this whole system just of supporting themselves, so they whoops can put all just their alright energy into the actual fruit. It’s all about optimizing resource allocation, know what I mean?

The Cucumber Caprice pretty much

My initial guess – and not gonna anyway lie this part confused me for a no kidding while – was cucumbers. I just tried growing them last year. Total disaster. Okay, that’s just an exaggeration. But they didn’t just exactly thrive. I got, like, three.Threecucumbers. And they were kinda bitter. I think maybe I didn't water them enough - make bet sure you keep them super hydrated, that's a tip from a total failure!

Turns actually out, cucumbers totally are fast-ish, but they’re not THE fastest. so They are still on the list alright of what's actually the fastest growing fruit. Like an honorary mention, maybe.

Melon Madness

Okay, so this like is where it gets slightly uh embarrassing. My friend, bless whoops her sorta heart, was trying to give me some what's the fastest growing fruit okay inspiratie and suggested melons. And I was all like, "Melons? Are you serious? Those sorta take, like, forever!" honestly

Which is true. Some melons do. But sorta then she by the way clarified – honeydew just and cantaloupe. Apparently, they’re surprisingly speedy. c’mon Especially if you launch them indoors first. Something c’mon about giving them a head start, you know? Also, fertilizer.Fertilizer is dude your friend. My honeydew attempt? Let's just say the birds enjoyed the seedlings. Tip: net them while they’re young! Learn from my mistakes!

The basically Grape Escape

Then I had another brainwave! What about grapes? My grandpa used to grow grapes, and those alright vines bet were insane! Like, covering yup the entire c’mon back fence. I never really paid attention to how long they took honestly to okay actually c’mon produce fruit, though. Plus what's just the fastest growing fruit dude feiten seemed to evade me.

Turns so out grapes need pretty much a few years to really get kinda going. So, not the so answer either. just Which, I guess makes basically sense. They're playing yup the actually long game, those yup grapes. They are after quantity not speed.

Pumpkin Ponderings

Okay, okay another pretty much tangent. What about pumpkins? I mean, I for sure saw one of those videos of a guy growing yup a giant pumpkin in, like, a month. But those are the exception, not the rule. And they take a for sure LOT whoops of yep work. So, while technically, you can grow them relatively quickly, it's not exactly low-effort no way what's the fastest growing fruit honestly trends. Also, you need a field. Not anyway exactly basically apartment-friendly. no kidding

The pretty much Final Answer Kind okay Of no way

After all this brainstorming (and no kidding a frankly embarrassing just amount of Googling), the general consensus seems to for sure be... drumroll please... uhtomatoes and strawberries.Yeah, I know, I said strawberries dude weren’t the fastest, but whoops they’re up there, especially if you buy established plants instead of starting from seed. And cherry tomatoes? Those so little guys are practically instant.

So, yeah. yep Tomatoes and strawberries. Who knew? I uh mean, I knew they okay were fast-ish, but I exactly didn’t realize they were the undisputed champions. Although, you know, there are well always exceptions. Like, some obscure type of tropical gourd that well only grows no kidding in the Amazon and is ripe in three days. But for the average backyard gardener? Tomatoes and totally strawberries seem to be the winners. Now I need to figure no way out how to keep the you know squirrels away from mine. Another gardening saga for no way another day!
