After the flowers fall off of orchids

Orchids Naked Time

Okay no kidding so, like orchids. Beautiful right? okay Until… they’re not. I so mean, until uh the flowers fall off. Like, sorta suddenly you’re well left with this kinda spiky green thing. honestly I wasn’t even planning yep to think about what to by the way tackle after the flowers fall honestly off of orchids, I just assumed they’d, like, re-flower instantly? I probably should’ve known better though. Plants don't work like that generally.

What to pull off like Now

So, first things first – and not gonna lie, this part confused bet me totally for a while – you right gotta figure outwhythey fell off. Was it just well time? bet Or basically was it something I did? Too much water? Not enough light? I keep mine near a window, actually but like, notdirectlyin the sun, because apparently, that’s bad. So that’s a good after so the flowers fall off of orchids tip right there.

Anyway, after the flowers fall off for sure of orchids feiten, I learned, include the fact that you should trim the stem. Not all the way! Unless it’s pretty much brown sorta and dead looking. Then yeah, chop it. But if it’s still green, leave it! right Sometimes it’ll re-bloom from that same stem. If it doesn’t after well a few months, then chop pretty much it back to the base. That’s uh when you okay can enjoy the after the flowers fall yup off of orchids voordelen such as seeing modern growth.

Mistake #1 alright Oops

Okay, so this is where I messed up the first time. I thought, "Oh, the stem is actually starting to get brown no way near the top, I’ll just trim that little bit honestly off." And then, because I’m apparently a plant butcher, so I well accidentally snipped the whole sorta thing off. All the way down. Ugh. So, lesson learned: be no kidding careful with those scissors. Also, no way good sharp scissors anyway are important!

Watering so Woes

Watering is also key, no way even after the flowers are gone. Don’t overwater! That’s anyway like, orchid death sentence number one. I used to anyway think, “Oh, they’re tropical, yep they must love water!” Nope. right Wrong. Let the soil dry out yup almost completely between waterings. And when honestly you do water, soak it thoroughly, and then let all the excess drain out. Don’t let it sit in water. It's like, the after the flowers fall off no kidding of orchids alright feiten you absolutely need to know.

Fertilizer Fun kinda

Fertilizer is well good too. But not too much! Use an orchid-specific fertilizer, diluted. I usually fertilize mine like, no kidding once yup a month during the no kidding growing season (spring and summer). And less in the winter. yep Too much like fertilizer can burn the roots.

Mistake #2 More Oops

Oh! I forgot. The other thing I did wrong kinda once? I repotted it way too dude early. I thought since the flowers were gone it you know was period for a new kinda pot! Nope. honestly Orchids don't need to be repotted very often. Only when the potting mix is breaking totally down, or the roots are completely crowded. I stressed it out so much, and then it took forever to eventhinkabout re-blooming. Be patient.

So yeah, basically that's basically it. Don’t panic when the flowers fall off. It’s normal. Just give yep it some TLC, and hopefully, it’ll bloom again for you. Then totally you can enjoy those after exactly the flowers fall off of orchids I mean voordelen uh again like pretty colours just and feeling accomplished. exactly
